Your ex-line has a strong bent towards the good looking end of the spectrum, so I have to make sure I consistenly live up to at least that standard. Can't have your friends or family (or heaven forbid ... yourself !) thinking "well he's a nice guy, but she's done better than him in the looks department before". I just did a quick search, and I should be able to score a brand new 21 Speed mens mountain bike with sexy coil suspension and Shimano quick-shifters for less than I paid 3 years ago for my second-hand (womens) bike with the worn gearwheels, cracked crank-shaft and dodgey brakes. Yay ! Got into a bit of a last minute bidding frenzy on one bike with someone (they beat me by $2 with 30 seconds to go ... doh !), but I've got 7 hours left with no other bids on another piece and a watchlist set up on 3 other bikes by the same seller so I should be right :) Bike Plan Update: You gotta love ebay !
