Dating back to the oldest period covered in detail in this portfolio, this was a promotional poster I created for Monsoon Events in 2004, to promote the Personal Finance Conference they'd organised in conjunction with Planet Bollywood and a number of finance / mortgage organisations to cater to the Indian community in Sydney.

The brief was to create something memorable and classy, which would still stand out and have a high-impact due to the fact they envisioned only printing it in standard A4 size. The point of the poster was to promote awareness of the conference within the target community, and to drive participation and ticket sales for the event.

Appropriate logos were obtained from the parties involved, text copy was decided on in conjunction with Monsoon Events staff, and the decision was made to create the poster as a 'negative style' white-on-black image to maximise the visual impact, given the envisaged final print size.

This was then subsequently printed on standard A4 paper, and mounted at various venues relevant to the target Indian community. A number of copies were also subsequently produced in larger A3 size, and placed at venues identified as particularly 'key' to the ticket drive, including Planet Bollywood itself, and a number of commercial establishments in the Parramatta and Westmead areas.
