Progress Outline Graphic - Click for Larger View    Max Mobile Logo

In mid 2007, Max Interactive negotiated to launch a new service named Max Mobile, in conjuction with Tigerspike. The MD tasked me with creating the new logo / brand identity for the service. This had to work in harmony with the existing 'main' Max logo, and a similar Max branding I'd created with one of my colleagues for the Max Performance Network re-branding of Oridian services.

Further, the new logo had to incorporate, or somehow visually reference the original Tigerspike logo, to acknowledge the partnership between our two companies on the service.

The original Max Logo assets were imported into Illustrator from Freehand, and broken into their constituant parts. The Tigerspike logo was also brought in to Photoshop (as vector copies weren't made available), exported as an EPS, and then brought into Illustrator.

I then replicated the Tigerspike logo as best I could in Illustrator using new paths, and set about generating various combinations of the two logos (as shown in the 'progress outline' graphic available from the images tab), based on numerous rounds of testing and feedback from all the stakeholders, and using the Max standard colour pallette of orange & blue (and also trying the Tigerspike signature red in one 'progress incarnation' of the logo).

Once a final consensus has been reached by all parties, the logo assets were saved in multiple formats (Illustrator, EPS, Photoshop) for future marketing use.
