In 2007 I was approached by some contacts from an independent Australian film-maker's message board to do the sound design for the 'teaser' trailer they had made, in order to solicit investor funds for the production of the 'actual' feature film.

They wanted a soundtrack which would 'hook' people in to the story, emphasise the visuals, and ultimately secure funding to allow them to make the feature film proper.

The film had only a rough sound mix in place with foley and dialogue but not musical score or other sounds, so I concentrated on creating 'atmosphere' and 'suspense' by using a number of hardware synths and plugins running through Sonar Studio. Additional percussion loops were also created for the 'running' and 'fight' sequences, and the final result was mastered as a broadcast-quality WAV file, and sent to the film makers on CD-ROM for dropping into their editing suite.
