In August 2008 a writer friend of mine was shortlisted to generate the first round of approved 'user generated content' for the Scorched TV website designed by Firefly Productions to support the Channel 9 telemovie of the same name (Scorched).

Whilst he'd written a great short film script, he needed someone to actually animate his vision for the short, and turn it into 'reality' so it could go on the site.

I set about recording the dialogue and music using various combinations of software and hardware, and built the sets + characters in Moviestorm. Additional 3D assets were also created in Google Sketchup, and also brought into Moviestorm. The resulting movie was then animated and shot using the latter package, and the output footage was brought into Premiere Elements for post-production.

Final output was rendered as a HD Flash Video, and uploaded to Blip.TV (the recommended 'staging ground' preferred by Firefly). Subsequently, the video was transfered by Firefly and went 'live' on the Scorched.TV site.
